Intro to Acting (1st, 2nd, and 4th Periods)

Monday, November 12: Students will continue to work in small groups on the development of a Viewpoint Composition.
Tuesday, November 13: Students will continue to work in small groups on the development of a Viewpoint Composition.
Wednesday, November 14: Students will participate in or observe coaching sessions for musical theatre (Wednesday Project) selections.   Mr. D’Haviland will set the schedule and prepare each student for his or her coaching session. Depending on progress from Monday and Tuesday, students may continue to work in small groups on the development of a Viewpoint Composition.
Thursday, November 15: Students will present to Viewpoint Compositions in previously assigned groups.
Friday, November 16: Students will video performances of Viewpoint Compositions.

Drama 3 (3rd Period)

Monday, November 12:  Students will observe coaching sessions for scenes from Much Ado About Nothing.
Tuesday, November 13: Students will observe coaching sessions for scenes from All’s Well That Ends Well.
Wednesday, November 14:  Students will observe a coaching session for a scene from Richard III.
Thursday, November 15: Students will observe a coaching session for a scene from Measure for Measure.
Friday, November 16: Students will rehearse or observe a coaching session for a scene from on a makeup basis.

Week 14: 11/5/18

Monday, November 5: Students will continue to explore Viewpoints Movement (Spatial Relationship, Topography and Shape).
Tuesday, November 6: No Class – Election Day
Wednesday, November 7: Students will participate in or observe coaching sessions for musical theatre (Wednesday Project) selections.   Mr. D’Haviland will set the schedule and prepare each student for his or her coaching session
Thursday, November 8: Students will continue to explore Viewpoints Movement (Gesture, and Architecture).
Friday, November 9: Students will begin to work in small groups on the development of a Viewpoint Composition.

Monday, October 15: Students will go over scene analysis and emotional preparation for their class scenes.
Tuesday, October 16: Students will have final rehearsal for scene performances which begin on Monday.  Students should focus on reviewing blocking, emotional preparation, and final run-throughs.
Wednesday, October 17: Students will participate in or observe coaching sessions for musical theatre (Wednesday Project) selections.  The Wednesday Project Coaching Schedule can be found here.  Final scene performances will begin on Thursday and continue on Friday.
Thursday, October 18: Students will have final rehearsal for scene performances which begin on Monday. Students should focus on reviewing blocking, emotional preparation, and final run-throughs.
Friday, October 19: Students will have final rehearsal for scene performances which begin on Monday. Students should focus on reviewing blocking, emotional preparation, and final run-throughs.

Monday, October 15:  Students will continue to review blocking and memorize lines for their scenes.  Much Ado About Nothing and All’s Well That Ends Well scenes will be blocked.
Tuesday, October 16: Students will continue to review blocking and memorize lines for their scenes.  Richard III and Measure for Measure scenes will be blocked.
Wednesday, October 17:  Students will continue to prepare their Shakespeare monologues for coaching by focusing on paraphrasing, text work, and memorization.
Thursday, October 18: Students will study lines, review blocking, and present line checks for their Shakespearean Scenes.
Friday, October 19: Students will continue to study lines, review blocking, and present line checks for their Shakespearean Scenes that were not presented on Thursday.

Week 10: 10/8/18

Intro to Acting (1st, 2nd, and 4th Periods)

Students will continue to work with their class scenes in their partner groups and continue to present repetition in pairs.  We will also be reviewing the blocking to the second half of the scene and focus on basic script analysis from a Meisner perspective. On Wednesday, we will continue to focus on musical theatre coaching.  Showcase prescreens for Drama submissions may take place later in the week.

Drama 3 (3rd Period)

Students will begin to focus on our Shakespearean scenes working with text memorization and staging. Line checks for their scenes will begin next week.

On Wednesday, we will continue our focus on the selection, cutting, and preparation of a Shakespearean monologues for audition and/or class study and performance.

Week 9: 10/1/18
