Week of March 30, 2020 – All Classes

Please note if you and/or your scene partner are unable to make the class specific section on Zoom at the allotted time, then please feel free to join me any time during the on Zoom from 2:00 – 3:00 pm time window open office hours .  This hour session is open to any student from any level who may have missed work during the day, needs questions, or needs help with the work in the class.

Drama 1 – Zoom Session 10:00 am – 10:30 am

Schedule this week:

Monday – Read through scenes during Zoom class and continue to get scenes approved
Tuesday – Students should read through scenes during Zoom session. Once scenes are approved. Students or partners unable to make it to the Zoom session in the morning should consider meeting in the 2:00 – 3:00 afternoon session in order to get scene approved.
Wednesday – Most scenes have been approved by today. Scenes should begin to be rehearsed and memorized. The filming will be completed late this week or at the beginning of the week after Spring Break.
Thursday – Only students who have not had seen approved need report to the Zoom class today. Please use the time to, using virtual methods, rehearse and memorize the scene.
Friday – All students should have their Screen Scene approved by today. We will continue to work on these scenes, including creating the recording which will ultimately be the final product for this project. After the recording scenes will be uploaded and made available for class comment and critique.

We will audition for Drama 4 Projects on Thursday and Friday of this week. On Wednesday, you a received a PDF via Remind with the audition material for each D4 Project.


Information and Directions for audition preparation:
– Each actor must audition for every play at least once.
– For plays that have scenes as the audition material, just be familiar in general with the scene. Actors will be assigned parts at the audition.
– For plays that have a monologue, prepare just one monologue for that play.
– The auditions will begin and be held live during our Zoom class on Thursday and will continue on Friday.
– The monologues and/or scenes do not need to be memorized, just prepared.

Auditions and callbacks will continue when we return from Spring Break. Some actors may be asked to submit video auditions due to time constraints and our unique schedule during this break
